2025 Board & Officers
Kermit Weaver - President
Kermit was an employee of the Social Security Administration for 33 years and managed the Oneonta Social Security Office for 18 of those years. He has been a member of the Oneonta Country Club for 39 years and is currently in his 19th year serving on the OCC Board.
Theodoros Basdekis-Vice President
Theo Basdekis has been an OCC member since 1998. He is the senior partner at the Law Firm of Scarzafava and Basdekis. Theo has previously served as a member of the City of Oneonta’s Centennial Committee, The Ricky Parisian Scholarship Foundation, and the 6th District Judicial Qualification Commission. He currently coaches the mock trial team at SUNY Oneonta.
Dave Weaver
Dave Weaver is on his second stint on the board, his first being when he served from 2013-2022.
Throughout his time on the board he has served as President, the head of the house committee, pro shop committee, membership and marketing committee, and steering committee.
Dave is a lifelong resident of Oneonta and lives with his wife, Erin, sons, Lucas and Landon, and daughters, Adelin and Audrey. Outside of golf he enjoys playing basketball and pickleball, watching his kids play sports and traveling to NYC with Erin to watch a Knicks game.

Mark Smithling
Originally from Lowville, NY, Mark moved to Oneonta in 1993 and has been an OCC member since 1999. 2025 is his first year serving on the Board of Directors. He also serves on the Pro Shop and the Men's Golf Association committees. He has taught science and math in the area since 1993 and has been employed by the Oneonta City School District since 2006. He will be retiring in June 2025

Rudy Trosin-Treasurer
Rudy has been a member of the Oneonta Country Club since 2017. He presently serves as Treasurer of the Club, Chairman of the Finance Committee and Chairman of the Human Resources Committee.
Rudy spent over thirty years working for various insurance companies in management positions. He then went to work as an executive recruiter for the insurance industry.
Rudy and his wife Margaret have lived in eight states, she in three countries and have owned eleven houses and plan Oneonta to be their last stop.
Michelle Wiltsie
Michelle Leal-Wiltsie is a member of OCC along with her husband Chris Wiltsie. She works at Sportsfield Specialties in Delhi where she has been the Purchasing Manager for almost 18 years. She is currently the Vice President of the Women’s Golf Association.
